Where do the events come from?
Every event is read from a public listing on one of 10 local websites. Each event page links back to the original listing, which stays the place to check for a last-minute change.
How often is the calendar updated?
Once a day. A crawl runs at about 2 AM Pacific, reads every source, fills in missing times and venues from each event’s own page, and publishes the listings that are complete. A listing missing a date, a location, or a time the source never printed is held back rather than published half-finished.
What area does it cover?
Pleasanton first, then the rest of the Tri-Valley: Livermore, Dublin, Danville, San Ramon, Sunol. The homepage shows Pleasanton only. The events page shows the whole region and can be narrowed by venue or city.
What does each listing include?
The date, the start and end time, the venue with its address and a map link, the price or a Free badge, a kid-friendly badge when the organizer says so, an Add to calendar file, and a link to the original listing or ticket page.
How do I add an event?
Use the submit form. Give the date, time, venue and a short description. Each submission is read by a person before it goes live, usually within a day or two.
Can I ask it a question?
Yes. The Ask button on every page answers questions such as “what’s on this weekend?” or “anything for kids on Saturday?” from the same listings, and links to every event it names.
